Biography - "No matter what you’re facing, the will to become vulnerable in the therapeutic relationship is the key to living with your best foot forward”.

I have 6 years of experience working in the field of mental health and chemical dependency and enjoy working with individuals, couples, families, children and adolescents.  My specialties include co-occurring disorders, addiction, crisis intervention, incarceration/re-entry, suicide, psychotic spectrum disorders, cognitive disorders, personality disorders, grief and loss, abuse/violence, depression, anxiety, boundaries, crisis intervention, trauma/PTSD, and life issues/transitions.  I also have experience with psychological testing for learning disability/academic concerns and differential diagnosis.

Education is an area that I'm passionate about; I have provided psychoeducation on a variety of mental health concerns to adolescents and adults in both inpatient and outpatient settings, including those with criminal charges secondary to their mental health struggles.  I also enjoy working with children and adolescents in educational and therapeutic settings.

My approach is strengths-based, and I aid people in learning about and developing themselves and to have the courage to self-advocate to the best of their ability.  No matter what you’re facing, the will to become vulnerable in the therapeutic relationship is the key to living with your best foot forward.
