Biography - "Healing is found through compassionate presence and the confrontation of old belief systems and constructs. Rediscovering one’s authentic self leads to living in joy!"
I am an experienced clinician with over 30 years working in multiple disciplinary settings, and I’m currently accepting clients for Psychological Testing. I’ve conducted Psychological Testing in Clinical settings, Private Practice, Child-Protection, and State and Federal evaluations. I have also worked in an Emergency Room setting.
I hold two Master’s Degrees in Counseling Psychology and Developmental Disabilities as well as a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with a minor in Philosophy.
A rich background, due in part to my Spanish and Native American ethnicity, spirituality, and experiences with diverse cultures, provides depth to my connection with others. I am passionate about helping clients achieve healing through compassionate presence and witness in storytelling as their insights and authentic voices emerge. I believe it is essential to confront old belief systems and constructs to heal and find one’s authenticity.
Our work together may include the integration of Cognitive Behavorial Therapy (CBT) strategies, narrative story-telling, appraisal of spirituality constructs, symbols, metaphor’s, dreams, and art mediums. These modalities facilitate deeper insights, and the cultivation of fresh perspectives all directed at living in joy!
I am the daughter of migrant workers and the first generation in my family to hold college degrees. I am an ordained non-denominational minister, hold a 2nd Degree Black Belt, and speak Spanish. I love chasing waterfalls, hiking with my husband, and singing.
