I enjoy witnessing a person’s growth over time no matter how big or how small the changes may be. With over 10 years’ experience in the mental health and special needs worlds, I combine cognitive-behavioral, dialectical behavior therapy and strengths-based techniques with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to aid in bringing about meaningful change in an individual’s life.
As a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker and a Behavior Analyst I focus on how individuals interact with the broader environment, with their friends, colleagues, and greater society. By acknowledging how these experiences shape us in various ways, my goal is to help people come to a deeper understanding of who they are. I place particular emphasis on how communication with ourselves and others colors our worldviews and see communication as a behavior that can be learned over time.
My experiences include working with individuals re-evaluating life decisions, difficulties in relationships with other people, childhood trauma, and eating disorders. I also have extensive experience working with children and families navigating the challenges and joys that come from raising an individual with Autism, ADHD, OCD, and anxiety. I believe progress can happen by meeting people where they are at with compassion, collaboration, and creativity in care.
