Biography - "I am skilled in helping people express their stories in their own way."

My belief about therapy is this: “People don't care how much you know until they know how much you care.” I do bring years of training and experience in helping people improve their lives and solve their problems; mostly, though, I bring compassion and genuine concern for people.

While most of my practice is now dedicated to psychological testing, I also have a variety of skills learned over the years including expressive arts therapy, and helping people recognize and live according to their own personal values.  Still, I find being there and caring about people is most helpful.  I have found that people need to tell the story of their life: the things they have experienced that have shaped their identity.  There are many ways of telling those stories, not limited to just words (although words are important), but including art, movement, and music. I am skilled in helping people express their stories in their own way.
