“Almost every problem contains an element of solutions.” – Insoo Kim Berg
I believe that no problem develops in a vacuum and that viewing relationships, struggles, and dynamics through a systemic lens is an important foundation that can create new insight and understanding about the challenges clients are facing. When we place challenges in a larger context, we create space for transformation and growth- both individually and relationally.
My therapeutic style is collaborative, client-centered, and strengths-based. I draw from Narrative, Solution Focused, and Experiential approaches, as well as Attachment Theory and Emotionally-Focused Therapy. At the heart of my work is the belief that the stories we tell ourselves shape our lives, and that with support, we can be empowered to create new stories that shift us out of stuck patterns.
As a therapist, I bring not only professional training but also the perspective and wisdom that come from life experience. I connect easily with adults navigating complex life transitions, and I also have a natural affinity for working with children and teens. With an extensive background in art and teaching, I often incorporate creativity, play, and artistic expression into therapy -especially with kids – tapping into creativity can be an incredible asset both in revealing things to ourselves and in helping us heal.
I welcome clients of all ages, backgrounds, and family structures, and I have a special passion for supporting the LGBTQIA+ community. Whether through play therapy with children, creative exploration with teens, or deep relational work with adults and couples, I strive to create an authentic, safe, and trusting space where growth and healing can unfold.
