Licensed Alcohol & Drug Counselor; Doctoral Candidate

Biography - "When we look inside, we can find the pieces of ourselves that need tending to, healing, and comfort."

Jeanne Kinkade-Moses

With over 10 years of experience working in the field of mental health and addiction, I enjoy working with individuals, adolescents, and parents.  My passion is helping facilitate client exploration and integration of their inner landscapes.  When we look inside, we can find the pieces of ourselves that need tending to, healing, and comfort.  As Carl Jung stated, “Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes.”

I specialize in addiction, trauma/PTSD, personality disorders, anxiety, depression, boundaries, communication, women’s issues and transitions.  I have extensive experience with individuals and families experiencing the impact of chemical dependency and with Twelve-Step recovery.

Three years ago, I made the decision to return to school and obtain my Doctorate of Psychology (PsyD) in Counseling Psychology with a focus on Depth Psychology, when I recognized the connection between trauma and addiction.  Recognizing that addiction is a symptom of a deeper problem made me want to help those struggling with addiction in a deeper, more meaningful way.  I utilize DBT and grounding skills, along with compassion for all parts of the human experience to help people navigate through their problems and integrate into a person with a more satisfying existence.
